I am guessing that this is the same person that you refer to as David Cooper. I had never seen anything indicating that he was killed in the war - that is interesting to see. Basil Smith PORTER of Pickens Dist., SC. Their great-g&#39;daughter, Mary Lou Ella PORTER, was my paternal grandmother.<br /><br />Do you have any info on Mary BRANTLEY&#39;s family? I remember that she was from Isle of Wight, VA, and I think her father was Edward BRANTLEY, but my memory is not perfect, and unfortunately, someone erased that from my computer accidentally. I have been working to try to restore the info.<br /><br />Also, do you know anything about Sion and Mary&#39;s burial place?
